Our holiday home in France is available to rent.
The detached house, with its large garden, is set on the edge of the village of Marcilhac sur Cele.
The village is ancient and picturesque, nestled in the beautiful valley of the Cele river, a tributary of the Lot. it has a very well-stocked shop, a bakery, a bar/cafe/restaurant and the Hotel des Touristes opposite, which is only open at lunchtimes. The nearby campsite has a tennis court. There are two swimming pools, one at the campsite at St Sulpice and one at the bar Romantique at Brengues, which serves light lunches and ice-creams. Both are an easy bike ride.
There are masses of walks and the village is on the pilgrim route to Compostela in Spain. The prehistoric caves at Pech Merle are 15 minutes drive and the historic towns of Cahors and Figeac are less than an hour. |

Our house is on the edge of the village, detached with a large garden. downstairs, there is a kitchen with a calor gas/electric cooker, sink, fridge-freezer, table and chairs for 6 and plenty of pans, crockery and cutlery etc. There is a living room with 2 settees, TV (Sky) and stereo. Also a utility room with toilet, washing machine, fridge, sink and a few camping mats. There is a study with telephone, desk, large table and a bed settee for one person. Outside there is a large terrace with garden furniture.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms with double beds, chests of drawers, hanging rails and plenty of bedding, a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet and there is also Michael's studio which we prefer no-one to use.
In the cellar there are 2 garden loungers, 2 old barbecues and all the garden tools. There are also 2 double canoes, 2 kayaks and 2 bikes.
The garden has 2 lawns and lots of shady fruit trees. A back gate leads to a field and access to the river for swimming and canoeing. To the left of the house is a parking place.
